My Favorite Book Ever
  • The Bible (Thanks for that, Jesus)  I like the NIV, NLT, AMP, and ESV 
  • I love Bible Gateway to find verses, and Sonic Light for commentary
Favorite Devotional Books
  • Jesus Calling by Sarah Young  (hands down favorite- has helped me greatly in understanding God's heart toward me)
  • Streams in the Desert by L.B. Cowman
  • My Utmost of His Highest by Oswald Chambers
  • Be Worshipful by Warren Wiersbe (commentary on the Psalms- love this!)
  • Valley of Vision- A Collection of Puritan Prayers and Devotions: edited by Arthur Bennett
Christian Fiction
  • Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers
  • Safely Home by Randy Alcorn
Books That Have Helped Me Feel Closer to God and Understand More About Him (and therefore about myself )
  • One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Right Where You Are by Ann Voskamp
  • Battling Unbelief by John Piper
  • Like a Mighty Wind by Mel Tari
Historical Fiction, especially Biblical Times  (note- these books are fiction.  BUT- I found them to be biblically accurate, which is important to me)

  • Chronicles of the Kings by Lynn Austin (series of 5 books about ancient kings of Israel and Judah)
  • The Ark Chronicles  by Vaughn Heppner  (series of 4 books about Noah and his sons)
  • Day of War by Cliff Graham (this is going to be a series but only this first one is out.  It's about David and WOW it's awesome)
  • Mark of the Lion Series by Francine Rivers (series of 3 books about ancient Rome, after Jesus and around the time of Nero) 
  • A Lineage of Grace: Five Stories of Unlikely Women Who Changed Eternity by Francine Rivers (series of 5 books about women from the Bible in the lineage of Jesus- Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary)
